Manage your subscription and billing
Use your organization's Billing page to manage your QRSurge subscription and billing details. You can review your plan, open the Stripe customer portal, and download invoices from one place.
Open your organization billing settings
Open your organization in the QRSurge dashboard, then go to Organization settings and select Billing. The page includes:
- Subscription plan - Review your current plan and manage your subscription.
- Billing breakdown - Review the invoice building during your current billing period.
- Email recipient - Choose where QRSurge sends billing correspondence.
- Billing address - Update the address shown on future invoices.
- Invoices - View and download invoices issued to your organization.
Only organization members with the Admin role can upgrade a plan, open the Stripe customer portal, or update billing details.
Upgrade from the Free plan
The Subscription plan section shows your organization's current plan. If your organization is on the Free plan, select Upgrade plan to choose a paid plan and billing interval.
Upgrades take effect immediately.
View current pricing before upgrading if you want to compare the available plans.
Change or cancel a paid subscription
If your organization already has a paid plan, select Change subscription in the Subscription plan section. QRSurge opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can:
- Change your paid subscription
- Update your payment method
- Cancel your subscription
If you are upgrading a paid plan, upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. When you move to a higher plan during an active billing period, QRSurge only charges the difference between what you've already paid and the new price.
When you cancel a subscription, paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Your organization automatically moves to the Free plan after that date.
If the Stripe customer portal does not open, try selecting Change subscription again. If the issue continues, contact [email protected].
What happens when you downgrade?
A downgrade happens when you switch to a cheaper paid plan or when a canceled subscription moves to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period.
Switching to a cheaper paid plan takes effect immediately. QRSurge adds a prorated credit to your account for the unused portion of your current subscription. This credit applies to future billing and is non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription instead, the downgrade to the Free plan takes effect when the current billing period ends.
Some organization resources may be affected when you move to a plan with different limits:
- Dynamic QR codes above the new plan limit are archived.
- Team members above the new plan limit are removed from the organization.
- Custom domains above the new plan limit are disconnected.
If you upgrade again later, you can restore the affected QR codes, team members, and custom domains.
Review your current billing breakdown
The Billing breakdown section shows the invoice that is built during the current billing period. It includes:
- Each line item, quantity, and unit price
- Taxes when applicable
- Current and projected costs
Use the projected total to understand the expected amount before the billing period ends. The total can change as the invoice updates.
Update invoice information
Use Email recipient to change the address that receives billing correspondence and invoices.
Use Billing address to update the address shown on future invoices. Changes do not modify invoices that were already issued.
Download invoices
The Invoices section lists invoices received by your organization. Open the menu beside an invoice and select Download to save a PDF.
Invoices are also sent automatically to the address in Email recipient.
