Manage your QR codes

Use the QRSurge dashboard to keep QR codes organized after creation. From one place, you can find QR codes, update them, and manage them in bulk.

Know what changes on dynamic and static QR codes

Dynamic and static QR codes can both appear in your dashboard. Dynamic QR codes enable editable destinations, campaign settings, and analytics. Static QR codes are useful for organization and re-downloading, but their encoded content cannot be changed after distribution.

Find and organize QR codes in the dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Manage.
  2. Use search and filters to narrow the table.
  3. Use folders to group QR codes by campaign, client, or location.
  4. Add notes for production details and campaign context.
  5. Favorite QR codes you need to reach quickly.
  6. Open the QR code detail view when you need to inspect, edit, or view more information.
  7. Use Edit for QR codes that support updates.
  8. Use analytics actions for dynamic QR codes with scan data.
  9. Archive QR codes that should be removed from active views but may still be needed later.
  10. Delete only when you are sure the QR code should be permanently removed.
  11. Use bulk actions when you need to manage multiple codes at once.

Use archive, delete, and naming conventions

Archived QR codes are treated separately from active QR codes in dashboard filters and billing behavior. Downgrades can archive excess dynamic QR codes based on plan capacity. Deleting is more final, so use archive when you may need the QR code again.

Use naming conventions before campaigns get large. A good naming convention to follow is [Campaign name] - [Placement] (e.g. Spring sale - flyers, or Spring sale - email).

Find a missing QR code or access issue

If you cannot find a QR code:

  1. Clear the filters.
  2. Check archived QR codes.
  3. Confirm that you are in the right organization and signed in with the expected account.

If a teammate cannot access a QR code, check their organization membership and role.
